In my works I am building dense, detailed rhythms that develop into angular labyrinths which collapse on themselves. The deeper the painting goes, the more blurred and deceptive it becomes, creating the effect of a flickering surface with a murky patina. This is because of processing images through repetition, reconstruction, ad infinitum. The inspiration for the works comes from observing my immediate environment, from memories, and from all sorts of relevant themes such as femininity, animism, memento mori, and the climate apocalypse.
