Michal Naaman is a leading Israeli artist, born in 1951 in Kibbutz Kvutzat Kinneret. Her work is characterized as conceptual art, and she is exploring themes such as the limitations of language and sight, the possibilities of expression, and gender issues. In 2014, she was awarded the Israel Prize for Plastic Arts in recognition of her significant contributions to the field.
