Netta Laufer | Gazelle
Neta Laufer 1986. Graduated with a BFA from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Laufer turns her gaze to animals. Since childhood, she has observed animals. Laufer scans the conflicted Israeli space, approaches its physical boundaries, and points out its transparent boundaries. Using advanced and creative photographic means, she captures the presence of animals, who share spaces with humans. In her work, she illuminates the way in which they are affected by, adapt to, or challenge human intervention in their habitat.
