Ori Carmely | Untitled (hands & branches)
Ori Carmely (b. 1982) is an Israeli artist and designer, who lives and works in Tel Aviv. A partner in PROJECT-studio and a founding member of the gym collective which engages in research and action in public spaces. As an artist his works, which include works on paper, video and performance, examine the aesthetic dimension of power relations and resistance as they are woven into everyday life. He is a graduate of the art department at Bezalel (BFA) and the design department at the Faculty of Architecture at the Technion (MSC). He won several awards and fund support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Goethe Institute, the Institute of Contemporary Art CCA and more.
