Yair Garbuz | Untitled #1
Yair Garbuz is an influential Israeli artist, born in Givatayim in 1945. In the 1960s, he studied painting under Raffi Lavie and at the Avni Institute of Art in Tel Aviv. Garbuz served as the director of the HaMidrasha art faculty at Beit Berl College for 12 years. He has held numerous solo exhibitions in Israel and internationally and has received several prestigious awards, including the Emet Prize for Art (2004) and the Rappaport Prize for an Established Israeli Painter (2015) from the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. His works incorporate various techniques, such as drawing, collage, photography, mixed media, and text.
